Obituary of Mr. Cameron Blair
Cameron Blair passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (May 31, 1944 – September 28, 2019). He was a man like no other, having lived 75 years of being kind and generous. Affectionately referred to as “Cam”, Mr. Blair, “Daddy”, Pa Blair, Dad & Grandpa, he will be fondly remembered by so many. Everyone who ever knew him would attest to his ability to share his humour and make the best of everything that came his way. He always had a joke on hand to make you laugh and feel at ease.
Born Ian “Cameron” Blair to Mary and Ian Blair in Toronto where he met his wife, Lynda Carlton, in grade 11 at Winston Churchill Collegiate. They were blessed with 53 years of marriage, friendship, mutual adoration, patience and love for each other. Cherished father to Glenn and Lorrie (Adam). Much loved and proud Grandpa to Taylor and Kaleb. Cameron is predeceased by his parents, Ian (1995) and Mary (1967).
He touched so many lives along the way; from the racetrack to the hockey rink and the office to the ball diamond. He will be sorely missed by his many, many friends. His loss is felt deeply by his best friend for over 60 years, John Bugeja and his wife, Pat.
We appreciate all the wonderful care he received from the doctors, nurses and staff at Sunnybrook. Many thanks to Dr. Z. Gabor, his family physician who cared for him for many years.
Donations in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
