Dear Pastor,
I can't believe I missed your funeral! "I was the last to know!" (famous words of a pastor) At least your funeral was on the day I gave my heart wholly to Jesus 30 years ago!
Whenever we discuss our times at APC under your 'stu'wardship every one of us says "sweet sweet spirit, never again to be duplicated!"
I remember the day I was publicly baptized, the cold faucet was somehow not working and we were the first to go! The symbolism of washing my sins away took on a whole new meaning that Sunday evening. Lol. You proclaimed 'not to be duplicated' as I had the blessing of wiping the sweat beads off of your beautifully bald head. Everyone laughed! You always told me, I was a fun gal! YOU were a fun Pastor!
I did not have a personal friendship with you but anytime I needed Godly advise you gave it to me.
Thank you for providing an atmosphere in church that was fun and safe. I will always cherish my time under your leadership!
Audrey my deepest condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. May memories of your life together comfort you and may Gods' Holy Spirit
encamp around you. Thank you for sharing Stuart with all of us.
Always,
Jacinta

Kathy & I join with many others in expressing our thoughts and prayers to you all as a family over Pastor Stu Mulligan’s home going. How we appreciate his friendship, character, communication of God’s word and his approach with people. As a young man, I admired his pulpit skills & of course his competitive nature! With that, tennis comes to mind! When I finally beat him in a tennis match at Cobourg, we graciously shook hands, got treated to a coke, made to feel like a million bucks but only to be set up to be challenged again! What fun! We later had more connection times with him & Audrey, Arthur & Sonja in Florida with WDW fun to his unexpected visits of encouragement when involved in ministry there. I told him on one of those occasions that one of the greatest compliments ever given to me after giving an altar invitation was when a Pastor said to me, “your altar call tonight reminded me of Stu Mulligan’s.” No one was any more gifted at it than he was.
He is now in the presence of God!
The torch has been passed by a faithful servant! We now run the race with more vigor, knowing that they are cheering us on!
“Well Done, Good & Faithful Servant!”

My deepest sincere condolences to the Mulligan Family. Pastor Mulligan was a great inspiration and role model for me growing up. I started going to APC when I was a little girl back at the Birchmount location. It was there that I was also baptized. The teachings of Pastor Mulligan will always be in my heart, and I find myself drawing on those memories especially in times of despair. I will miss him greatly and his joyful spirit. He led a wonderful life and influenced so many people. Heaven gained a beautiful angel, and I'm certain God will say to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant!" R.I.E.P. Pastor Mulligan ❤
Love,

Dear Audrey and girls,
We send our deep felt condolences to you in the home going of dear Pastor Stuart. There are so many cherished memories we have of him during our years spent worshipping at APC. The dedication of our twins Adam and Aaron in the brand new APC in 1979....the first babies dedicated in the new building. The times spent with Stuart doing weddings together. The times spent in music on the keyboards, in the choir and doing the kids choir pageants, handbells and the youth choir. So many great memories of his 3 point memorable sermons, his greeting of visitors in the services even in the largest building, the comfortable way he had with people. He was indeed our very treasured pastor. Our Lydia was APCs first ‘live’ baby Jesus in the Christmas pageant!! Lots of memories indeed! He will surely be missed by many, but of course by you most of all. May God grant you His comfort, peace and strength in the coming days and time ahead until we all meet again in Glory! Our love to you, Don and Sylvia Fry

We as a missionary family called APC our home church. Pastor Mulligan was our pastor. When the new church was built Pastor Mulligan’s passion for missions dedicated the old farmhouse to missions. It was renovated and became a “furlough home” for missionaries. Over a period of 12 years Strong children lived in the Heritage House. From high school days, thru University into married life the Heritage House was their home away for home. Long distant parenting had many moments of deep concern. Brother Mulligans watchful eyes and tender heart ministered to our MKs. Knowing this gave us much comfort and courage to live and minister thousands miles away from our young adult children. Thank you Brother Mulligan for your vision to stand with missionaries not only in lands of our calling but also during our furlough years. You have impacted our lives and inspired us.
Our love and prayers are with Sister Mulligan and the family. May the Lord be your comfort and strength.

I am forever thankful that Pastor Mulligan gave the call for salvation on the evening service of April 19th, 1987 at APC... Pastor Mulligan had the courage to call people to step out from their seat and come to the alter to receive Jesus as their personal Saviour. Because of his faithfulness to give the call, our entire family was put on a new foundation of faith, hope and love that continues to get richer every day. We have so many memories of "Mulligan Stu wisdom". Our constant prayer is for household salvation so that "not one hoof will be left in Egypt". To God be all the glory!
Our deepest condolences to Audrey and all your precious family. You all, in your own way, beautifully carry on Pastor Mulligan's passion and love for Jesus.

Stuart was a wonderful Pastor, and Stuart and Audrey continued as friends to John and I. He was our spiritual leader during the six most difficult years of my life, and his kindness and wisdom made all the difference. John and I fondly remember, and can repeat, sermons Stuart preached in the 80's; an exceptional communicator who brought God's Word to life. Only Jesus really knows what a profound impact for good both Stuart and Audrey have been. Heaven is richer. It was such a privilege to count them as friends. The last words we heard him say as we left the Auberge in May, to John and I, was "We're friends". A much cherished couple. May God richly bless you, put His arms around you, giving you a sense of His peace, power, and presence as only He can.

Dear Audrey and Family
Our prayers and encouragement are extended to each family member in this season of loss.
We combine our sympathies with hundreds of others who have been influenced by this beautiful man of God. His impact upon me as a young man was significant. His active interest in young men and women was simply engaging and encouraging. His firm, 'look-you-in-the-eye' handshake was a simple expression of 'good to see you'.
Warm, friendly, inspiring, positive, sincere, humorous, encouraging would characterize to me the life of a quality kingdom leader. Our nation was blessed by his inspiring leadership.
Dear Family, 'May the Father of Compassion and the God of all Comfort, comfort each of your hearts.'
Sincerely,

Mrs. Mulligan
We met you and Pastor Mulligan at the Queensway Cathedral many years ago, it was a wonderful time and we enjoyed the fellowship.
I had the pleasure of being Pastor's assistant and he appreciated everything even down the smallest thing.
He had a little black book for his telephone numbers and for many years I recorded new numbers and deleted the old ones, until He no longer could purchase a book ( not in the book stores any more).
Pastor Mulligan certainly was a wonderful example to live by.
We will miss him for sure.
Andrey, we will be praying for you and your family.

I've knew Stuart longer than any other person. We go back to our childhood, playing in the pre-school Rhythm Band in Bethel Church, Ottawa.
We attended Bible College together. Geography separated us over the years, however, whenever we got together, conversation picked up where we left off. Stuart was a great husband, family member and Pastor and friend. He will be greatly missed.

My condolences to the Mulligan family. I was a PK. When my dad went to National Office , APC became our home church and Pastor Mulligan was the only Pastor I had other than my dad. When I decided to be baptized, it was with Pastor Mulligan and my dad together at APC. I will treasure that forever. Over the years I always reflected on his Barnabas and the tugboat reference and how he loved singing Oh Happy Day. He said I was a jewel. The real jewel is now in the crown with our Lord. RIP and Victory in Jesus. Well done thou good and faithful Servant!

Pastor Mulligan was my first Pastor. He led me to the Lord when I was 11yrs old(1983) I’ll never forget when he asked me where Jesus lives? I said in Heaven. He then asked me where else? I wasn’t sure . He assured me that Jesus also lives in my heart. At age 16 he Baptized me. He married Shelley and I in 1997. Pastor Mulligan has played a significant role in our lives. I’ll never forget his historic 3 point sermons, Sunday night messages on Grey Cup Sunday and the use of the word ‘ Flim’ He truly demonstrated Gods’ amazing grace with unconditional love and consistency. The level of engagement, inspiration and motivation he enabled in us as Young people in the church still resonates today. Still serving Jesus with passion; this is a testament of the seed that The Mulligan Stu implanted in us. Thank you my Pastor for setting the right example for us. We may grieve but we also celebrate the impact you had On our lives. Rest In Peace. We love you. You will be greatly missed.

I was absolutely surprised to hear the news about Pastor Mulligan today on line. For me he was THE pastor as I was growing up, through crusaders at Agincourt Pentecostal to the expansion of the building on Huntingwood to the planning (and inhabiting) the new building at Kennedy & Finch. I respected and listened to his teaching, but also felt he was approachable. I appreciated how he tried to always teach in a way that you took something home that applied to you. When I got married, of course he had to do the ceremony - I was willing to change the date to make it happen! At the reception his wife Audrey reminded him at dessert that he had to watch his sugar intake. Pastor replied that surely he could have one bite? When she agreed, he managed to squish and press it together and open his mouth so wide that he got to eat the whole dessert in one bite! I can remember how he always joked about eating banana cream pie in heaven. I so appreciated him.
My condolences to all his family - while I know you are certain of where he is now, it is a big loss for you all.
