Obituary of Mr. Wesley Wilton
Wesley Wilton passed away July 11, 2019 at the age of 85 after a brief illness, surrounded by his family to a refrain from Mozart’s Horn Concerto, his favourite classical piece.
Wesley was a devoted husband to Theresa, his wife of 64 years and father to their three daughters, Shelly (Robert), Carolyn (Jim) and Denise and to his six grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole, Connor, Scott, Reid and Graham and two great grandchildren Sophie and Omar.
Wesley was a kind and energetic man, always willing to help family, friends and neighbours with their problems or to undertake a house repair. During his lifetime he gained many friends through his outgoing personality and optimistic temperament. Wesley was a fun person to be around and is remembered as being always open and accepting. His grandchildren adored him and he never had a critical word to say about them. He celebrated their every achievement from soccer games, rugby matches, baseball and football games, theatrical performances and academic awards.
Wesley was an avid reader, especially of WWII history and an animated conversationalist. He had a big, beautiful presence that filled a room with laughter and talking. To Wesley the cup was always half full. Even during his recent illness, his primary focus was on the impact it was having on his family. To the end he remained a father that put his family first. While we will carry on and bear testament to the great life he lived, we are none the less sadder to do so without his graceful presence.
Wesley will be sorely missed by all those who knew him and will remain forever in our hearts.
