My most deepest condolences to the family. Josiah played soccer with my son and while I didn’t personally know Josiah it was such a pleasure to watch him at the games, the way he maneuver through the player and made it to the other side so quickly with such agility it was always great to see. He definitely had a passion for the sport. You will be greatly missed and you will forever be with us in our memories.

I had the pleasure of teaching Josiah and Gabrielle this past year. I am so sorry for your loss and pass along my deepest condolences. Josiah was such a bright young man with a tremendous work ethic. He impressed me everyday with his dedication to his studies. It is with regret that I cannot make it to the visitation but my thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time.

Hey Josiah,
I don’t even know what to say to you man. You had a huge impact on my life and you will never know how much you meant to me bro. You made everyday better. You were my best friend and a guy who never judged me and supported me. Forever and Always there for me no matter what. We always had the realest conversations and I’ll miss those. You kept me in check but always made me laugh. We should’ve been doing our work a lot of he time but playing checkers online and watching fortnite always made us have the best time each and every class. I could always tell you anything and I felt so comfortable doing so. You would do the same and we would always support each other and give each other advice to help each other. I love you man, I will never get the fact that you are gone out of my head. You were so happy to hear about my hockey and you don’t know how happy I was for you. You were excited about after high school and what the future was going to bring. You were going to have a huge impact on the world. Unfortunately the world never got to experience who Josiah Copland is. You made school so much easier to come to each day. From high bush to Dunbarton you were always there for me. When we wouldn’t see each other for a period of time, we would pick it right back up as if we were never apart. Your parents gave the world an amazing man, and you have impacted my life in ways I never got to tell you. We had great inside jokes and they are all running through my head as the news of your passing still confuses me. I love you man, I will always remember you. Everything I do is for you now and I will carry our memories with me forever, up until the day we are re united. Rest In Peace Josiah, I love you my brother for life.

This year I had the pleasure of being Josiah's English teacher at Dunbarton High School. I was immediately impressed by him. He was always courteous, confident and respectful. He was an "old soul" with a wisdom and insight beyond his years. He approached his studies (and life) with genuine curiosity and thoughtfulness. Josiah was a true gentleman and a real scholar. The world has lost one of its bright lights. He will be sorely missed.

Josiah was a kind, and passionate person. It was a pleasure to play soccer with him for the past few years; I always looked forward to playing with him. Unfortunately, the whistle blew too early but god will treat him well. Rest In Peace, Josiah.

I am a teacher at Dunbarton High School and had the pleasure of meeting and teaching Josiah this past school year. I am tremendously saddened to hear of his passing and wish to express my sincere condolences to all his family and friends. Josiah was an extremely kind and respectful young man who often expressed great love for his family. Though the pain of his loss may be great the joy of his memories and the images of his winning smile will endure.
I regret I will be out of town and unable to attend his service but my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I’ve known Josiah since elementary school. He was known for his super impressive soccer skills. He didn’t just shine on the field, but as a person he stood out. He was always so happy, excited, and hilarious. We all loved him at Highbush. In High school, I had the pleasure of working with Josiah for a group project. Although he was quieter, he was so funny and positive. He truly was a kind person. I know all of us from Highbush will not forget him.
