I was fortunate enough to meet Auntie Anita one time in my life. When I was a young woman i visited her in her home in Canada. She was warm and so welcoming, she make me feel right at home. She look so much like my mother and it was such a blessing to have the opportunity to hear her memories of her childhood. She shared with me photos of our family and fed me some delicious food she'd prepared. She was a beautiful person inside and out and I'm better for having met her.
Love your great niece, Cody Scherrie

Sympathy to Gouveia family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all, at this sad time.
I pray to our creator, He may grant my beautiful Aunty Anita the highest level in Heaven.
I remember my words to her as I left Guyana with my Mom, "Don't cry Aunt Anita I love you, I will be back".
I take comfort in knowing she is in peace and at ease with my Mom and all her loved ones in Heaven.
Aunt Anita, you will always be in my prays and I wait for the day when we will meet again. God Willing.
Love always
Linda and my family

Mario, Derek, Heather and Andrew - our deepest condolences on the loss of Aunt Anita who was like a mother to us. She was loved by both Mom and Dad as well as the rest of the family. We enjoyed spending time with her and listening to stories she would tell of her visits with her grandchildren. Of course we also loved all her meals and goodies. Lord knows she tried to show me how to cook the traditional Portugese/West Indian dishes, but could I follow in her footsteps, NO. Well Andrew, by default I am going to have to rely on you! :(
Andrew: - you have been the best caretaker a parent could ever ask for and all that you did for Aunt Anita during your own health issues, was remarkable. You cared for her like parents would want to be cared for. The Lord will take care of you. Even though we do not want our parents to leave us, she is off to a better place where she will be at peace and happy with the rest of her family. I know it is sad for you but she will always be in your heart.
Sad that we were not able to see her before her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family!
Debra, Nello and family!

To Mario, Deryck, Heather & especially Andrew, our sincere sympathy go out to you and your families on the passing of our Dear Aunt Anita. She was a warm, gentle and loving person, willing to do anything for anyone. She cherished and was always very proud of her children and grandchildren. She is no longer in any pain and has gone to meet her creator where she will reunite with Uncle Albert. A loving soul who will be greatly missed by one and all.
Our memories will never fade of a woman who was gentle yet strong and gave back to all who came into her life. Aunt Anita RIP, and our prayers will keep your spirit alive forever.
Love Sonja, Joseph & family (Calgary AB).
