I knew Bill for most of my life. He was a wonderful, funny and loving man. I knew him as a child, a teenager, a young woman, and finally, as a mature (haha) woman. He always called me "lovely Lynda" and for that reason, and our mutual sense of humour, he will always have a special place in my heart. All my love to his family, and everyone whose lives he touched, with his special magic.

I only just met Bill and Jane since moving in beside them late last year. Although we met as new neighbours, we instantly became friends. I loved his big smile and he always said hello to my kitty cats when we were out in the hall. I will surely miss him. God rest his soul. Jane, I’m only a door knock away.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Bill's death. We have such fond memories of him. Each of our encounters with Bill were filled with laughter, kindness, lively conversation and great hugs. We regret that we were not able to connect the last time he was in Ottawa. I have always considered Bill and Jane honorary relatives. Bill's abundant energy and intellect and love are now part of the great mystery of the universe. We wish all the family members and particularly Jane, Peace amid this turbulent time. May you all be surrounded by a caring community of family and friends and be enveloped in the infinite love of the Creator, now and always.
