Merilyn Speer passed away at Scarborough Grace Hospital after a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 1st, 2019 at age 71. She is survived by her husband Alrik Kiir, her eldest son Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Brunberg and his wife Laurel, and her youngest son Craig Brunberg and his spouse Janet.
Her family will celebrate Merilyn at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Agincourt on Wednesday, June 5th, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the Ogden Chapel on Thursday, June 6th, 2019 at 11 am with Merilyn’s interment at Park Lawn Cemetery in Etobicoke. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Association in Merilyn’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
