Obituary of Mr. Yee Liu
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Yee Liu at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto at the age of 91. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Cheung Luen, and son Winfield (Diane) and grandchildren Derek, Jason and Vanessa. He is predeceased by his son Edwin.
Yee was born on October 6, 1927 in Canton, China, studied civil engineering at Lingnan University and immigrated to Canada to study at the University of Toronto where he earned his Masters of Applied Science in 1954. He worked as a civil engineer for over 35 years and retired from Brown, Liu and Associates in 1992.
A visitation will be held at Ogden Funeral Homes (4164 Sheppard Ave East) on Saturday June 1st at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Michael’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
