Sitting here going through Facebook and she came up as a person I might know.
It got me to thinking about how lucky I was to have been able to spend time with her as we ventured to Alberta for Dayna’s wedding.
We talked and laughed but my favourite memory is when we first met up at the airport to get the rental car.
It took us 15 minutes until we finally asked someone how to start the thing.
We laughed for 2 minutes as we realized how easy it was and silly we felt for not knowing how to start their fancy push button car start feature lol.
Love and miss her very much.

I was so saddened to hear of Judy’s passing. We used Judy’s bus services numerous times at our daycare-NYAD Scarborough Village. And many of our families used her services as well. My deepest condolences to all her family. She was a wonderful lady and we enjoyed our many bus trips with her.

Judi was such an important part of mine and my children's lives for 12 years! She was a focused and safe driver and so kind , patient and considerate. I remember she brought my older son a small graduation gift at his grade 6 graduation and we were so touched.
We are very saddened with the news. I was hoping to invite her to my son's University graduation party.
Judi, may you rest in peace.
You have a very special place in our hearts.

My mother was a good mother and the only father I’ve known. She was my first teacher, my mentor, my coparent, my business partner and, from time to time, she was even my partner in crime… but not the ‘criminal’ kind, of coarse :-)
That’s what I loved about mom the most, her sense of honour and justice. If she found something she would make every effort to return it to its rightful owner. If she walked out of the store with something in her hand accidentally she would walk back in immediately and pay for it. I still wonder if ever once she told a lie. If ever she did I’m confident it was for good :)
She was my ‘ no matter what ‘
(or when or why or where)
I know she’s up there chatting away with Vi and Anne, knitting needles in hand... or maybe they’re doing a crossword together :-)
That gives me comfort.
The house is empty without you and so is my heart but they’re both filled to the brim and flowing over with memories that help to get me through.
The following words from the last pages in one of our most favourite books keep running through my head...

I woke up this morning knowing that Brad had asked me to write a few words about his mom and so many amazing memories came flooding in.
Judy had an amazing life. As a young person she spent a lot of time at Davidson's farm helping with the chores and just enjoying being a country girl. Sometimes she took me and because of that input I ended up working with animals later in life both as a veterinary assistant and raising and showing dogs. In fact, Judy and I both had some wonderful times raising malamutes and going to weekend dog shows for a number of years.
When I was thirteen and she was 20 our parents took us on a ship to England to visit all the relatives and a few years later Judy went back, all on her own, to live and work for a year. She always wanted to go back again, she loved it there, and she was able to go back when her granddaughter took her one more time.
When we lived in the mountains in B.C., Judy courageously packed up her three kids ages 5, 7, and 9 and brought them out for a visit. Due to lousy weather that summer, we somehow managed to drive down to Disneyland for the day!!! Two days down from Vancouver Island, one very full day at Disneyland, two days back to Calgary and then home. On the trip down, while Judy was driving the truck, 3 kids decked out in the back and 3 adults in the front, we found ourselves in the middle of rush hour on the Golden Gate Bridge, when our primary gas tank ran out and she didn't know how to switch it over to the secondary tank since she had never dealt with that before. John was able to reach over me AND her to make the switch from the lever on the floor between the driver and the door while still in heavy traffic. What a hoot!
Travel? Judy traveled. Besides twice to England, B.C. and Disneyland she was able to go to Israel and Disney World as well as many camping trips all over Ontario when her kids were young. Nothing held her back.
After 13 years of marriage, I called my sister and the moment she picked up the phone I blurted out “I'm pregnant” in a panic. She said “I'll be right there” and she was. She was there for me and both my kids while they grew up. There was a special relationship between her and Johnny and Cassie somewhere between Aunt and Grandma and many of our family outings including camping weekends at dog shows at Owen Sound and Bracebridge included Judy.
So many stories, so many good times. These are the things to keep in our hearts and to remember. We'll miss you Judy but we still have our memories of our wonderful times together.

Next to being surrounded by her loved ones, I think Judy's favourite place in the whole world was the Davidson farm in Agincourt. So many happy memories of hours spent together there. Love and condolence to all.
