Sokratis Ioannidis

January 27, 1942 – March 31, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sokratis Ioannidis. Surrounded by family, Sokratis passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Sunday, March 31st, 2019, after a long courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a rare neurological disease, at the age of 77.

He was the beloved husband of 52 years to Zoi Ioannidis. Loving father to Danny Ioannidis (Deanna), Terry Ioannidis (Abeda), Soultana Ioannidis, and Billy Ioannidis. The cherished Pappou of Socrates, Alexis, Emma, Cassia, and Nicholas.

Lovingly remembered by his many extended family members and friends.

Viewing will be at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough, Ontario on Sunday, April 7th, 2019 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox  Church, 3840 Finch Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario on Monday, April 8th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Final resting place, is Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd  E, Richmond Hill, Ontario.
