My heart is broken. I remember what a support Alaura was to my mom the summer of 2018. While other young people may want to know where the next party was on a Saturday night, she did not hesitate to spend her Saturday nights in Markham to sleep over so that my mom was not alone.
Chris, Cheryl, Alyana, Alex, Aunty June, Mr. Ansel, and all the family members and friends who are grieving right now, we may not understand why this happened, but be encouraged. God is able to look around the corners that we can't see. Alaura fulfilled her purpose on this earth and God called her home. Although we are bereft of her presence, we know that the pain and discomfort that ravished her body is no more.

Alaura was the most beautiful baby. She was happy & delightful. I remember looking after her as if it was yesterday. Although I did not know her in adulthood, I can see that not much about her had changed. Her smile and the spark in her eyes were still the same. What a beautiful young lady.
