Dr. Sibertie “Betty” Singh

October 19, 1930 – March 22, 2019

                Dr. Betty Singh was born in Georgetown, Guyana. She pursued undergraduate studies at McGill University, Montreal; then went on to study medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. She lived and practiced in Ireland, England, Trinidad, Guyana and Canada. Upon retiring from medicine, she authored 3 bestselling cookbooks.

                Dr. Betty Singh passed peacefully at Scarborough Grace Hospital on March 22^nd, 2019 at the age of 88. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Cecil; children: David (Kristina), Nadia (Saud), Tara (Mahendra), Githa (Arun), predeceased by her son, Andy (Nadira); Grandchildren: Alyssa, Jenna, Danesh, Vishaan, Asha, Anil, Anjali, Roshan, Sowmya and her many family and friends.
