Nick, you were truly a great friend to me who made me feel respected and welcomed from the day we met in high school. It is with a heavy heart I write this, hearing about your passing. I will miss the out of the blue phone calls to just catch up every now and again.

Gone to soon sweet cousin :(
My eyes filled up with tears as I heard the news.
It never occurred to me how much I could lose.
I find myself wishing that it wasn't real.
Every time I think about it, pain is all I can feel.
Tears fall from my eyes; I can barely see,
But my heart tells me that you'll always be by me.
I lie in bed and cry at night,
And I don't feel any better in the morning light.
I will love and miss you forever,
Until the day we are again together.

My dear Nick...
How can you have left us so soon? I just found out about your passing today from our neighbour, Nora, on Shawford!
Am devastated: I lost Mom, four weeks ago, February 17, 2019/10:40 pm at the Palliative Unit of Scarborough General Hospital; and now you, so young, so soon!
You are with your dear Father now! But, you leave behind many, many grieving friends, neighbours, and family... especially, your beloved Mom, your dear sister and her children whom you adored!!
May they all find comfort in knowing what a good man you were, always kind and willing to help others! You were loved by all, and will be very much missed!!

I wish to send my condolences to Nicks family. I have know Nick for some years. The “family like” environment at the TTC is great. We always stopped to say Hi with one another whenever we crossed paths. I always enjoyed his company and was happy to chit chat. He’ll be missed.
