Ronnie was our next door neighbour on Bogert ave. Many years of playing football at Lansing United church and the prickle bush jumps. A great person. We will miss you Ronnie.

Words can’t begin to express how I truly feel. Papa Wally, you were my biggest cheerleader, my motivator, you gave me the courage to become a better teacher and person. When times were tough, I knew you were always there to guide me. I will never forget our first year together at HP!
Little did I realize our paths had crossed before, you reminded me of that... 14 years before, I was a student completing my practicum at the same school you worked at. You always had a sharp memory! It’s funny how life works... When you retired, I cried, my students cried, as we realized the void of your presence would never be replaced. I was fortunate enough to remain in contact with you, as you discovered life after 60...
To Kim and the girls, my heart breaks as I think about all the pain you are all going through, words can’t justify this loss. May the memories of Ron and the love of family and friends surround you and give you strength in the days ahead.

I worked with Ron at Heritage Park PS and was saddened to hear about his passing this week. I wanted his friends and family to know what a positive presence he was on staff. Ron always had a funny story to tell or some helpful information on taking care of my plants. He loved talking about his dog and his daughter. He took care of the staff, the students and the school. We felt cared for and respected by the way he did his job. He was a good person and his smile will be sorely missed. I wish his retirement could have been longer and more rewarding given the many years he worked for the TDSB. My prayers are with his family. He loved you very much and often spoke about how much joy you brought to his life. With respect, James

Words can not even begin to express how heartbroken I am to hear of Ron's passing! I had the pleasure of working with him at Poplar Road and he was just the kindest, sweetest man! It was evident from the first day we met that he would not only be a colleague but also a friend! He would do anything for you and always with a smile and a story to tell...oh those stories we all loved! I saw him days before his retirement and he was like a bright shining star and so happy to be starting this new chapter in his life. He will be missed for his warm heart, his gentle soul and his love of life! RIP Ron...your star will always shine my friend! My thoughts and prayers are with you!

It doesn't take knowing Ron a long time for him to make an impact on your life. Our time together has been short - too short - filled with lots of laughter and fun. He has left an unforgettable imprint on my heart. I always looked forward to coming in to work to hear one of his stories or life's little nugget he was always willing to share. Ron was one of the kindest, warmest, humble, helpful, most generous man I know. He will be missed and fondly remembered by me.
