Obituary of Mr. Antonio S. Reolada
Antonio “Tony” Reolada. Born February 14, 1942, in Rizal, Laguna, Philippines, peacefully passed away at the age of 77 surrounded by family on February 23, 2019, from cancer, in Markham, Ontario. Son of Pablo Reolada and Jacobina Sumague. Dear husband of Angelina “Didi”. Cherished father of Adrian and Florence (Anthony) Umali. Proud grandfather of Jaden and Aidan. Treasured “Tonying” to Erlyn, Rolando and Pablo, Jr. Predeceased by six siblings, Emerita, Rogelio, Teresita, Jaime, Cesario, and Cleotilde. Tony was a graduate of Medical Technology at Centro Escolar University in Manila, Philippines. He came to Canada in 1968, worked as a medical technician at Sick Kids Hospital and structural assembler at De Havilland/Bombardier, worked and galavanted hard, married his wonderful wife in 1972, had two children, enjoyed travelling and camping with them across Canada and the US, openly embraced countless family and friends into his own home to live and start their new lives in Canada, co-founded Rizal, Nagcarlan and Damayan Associations, was an avid viewer of his grandsons’ basketball and baseball games, was a loud and boisterous singer, photographer, guitar and piano player, collector of music and array of cars, and anything else he could get his hands on. He enjoyed retired life with Didi back home in Rizal. He fought his illness until his last moments and will be remembered as being a true fighter. He was a man who gave everything to everyone around him. Tony will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Family will receive friends at his Celebration of Life Mass at Holy Spirit Parish, 3526 Sheppard Ave. E. on February 28, 2019, at 10:30 am.
