Mrs. Hazel Bolt

Obituary of Mrs. Hazel Bolt

Please share a memory of Mrs. Hazel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

After a courageous battle with leukemia, Hazel passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on January 26, 2019 at the age of 87.  Beloved and devoted wife of the late William James Bolt.  Loving Mom and friend to Kathryn (Ed Hansen), Steven (Vidya), Linda (Stephen Sutton), and David.  Cherished Grandma to Tyler (Jessica), the late Kaitlyn, Gautam, James, Amy and Kyle.  Dear sister to Hank (Peggy), Elsie (the late David Brown); and predeceased by Lawrence, Clarence, Evelyn, Alan, Gladys, Ward, Carl and Fred.

She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  A proud Canadian, Hazel will be remembered for her beautiful gardens, quick wit, displaying her patriotism, her genuine compassion and care for others, and her personal touches (such as her hand written letters or personal phone calls).  She will continue to be an inspiration to those she touched and loved by all who were privileged to know her.

In lieu of flowers and by Hazel’s request donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada or the Salvation Army.

A Memorial Graveside Service and interment will be held at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Sprucedale, Ontario on Saturday June 22, 2019.
