Ephy Jones is my aunt- I say is because she will always be with me. For my entire life she was an example of how a strong woman can live life on her own terms. I will forever admire her for the discipline, work ethic and sense of honour that she brought to every aspect of her life. She was always supportive of family and friends. Ephy was an entrepreneur at a time when female business owners where rare in Jamaica.
Opinionated, intelligent and no-nonsense with a great sense of humour. She shared whatever she had with those that she loved without expecting anything in return.
She will be missed by family, our matriarch. She will always be with us in spirit.
