Obituary of Mr. Abdul Shaikh

Abdul Shaikh passed away at the age of 68 at the Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital in Scarborough.  He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Ila Shaikh, their three sons and wives, Sohail & Latika, Amin & Talia, and Aslam & Amanda, as well as grand children Rayaan and Anya. 

Abdul will be remembered as the head of the Shaikh family, who along with his wife Ila immigrated from Gujarat, India to Toronto, Canada and paved the way for their brothers, sisters, and parents to build a new life in this country.  Through his profession as an accountant, Abdul strived to provide for his three sons, seeing them through higher education and guiding them into their respective careers and personal lives with their individual new families.  His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and they loved to visit with their Dada and Dadima to play at their home in Scarborough.  His family is tremendously proud of him, love him more than words can express, and will miss and think of him each and every day.

Visitation will be held at the Ogden Funeral Home at 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, on Sunday January 13, 2019 from 2-5pm, followed by Memorial Service 5-6pm at the same location.
