It sincerely breaks my heart to discover that the lovely Delores has passed, My thoughts and belated condolences go out to her immediate family who were such important part of my young adult life,
I was going to write; "that she instilled values in others with her selflessness" but it was more than that, she had a genuine spirituality and she displayed it proudly with a loving manner, which truly knew no boundaries, combine this with a wisdom that to this day makes me reflect on her with great affection. I can only hope to be so wise and gracious.
Although I had little contact with her over the years apart from when she would occasionally stop into Cassidy's, for which I honestly can say I always had time for because she was truly radiant and I loved her and so admired her pragmatism.
She gave in the truest sense with her heart, never expecting anything in return, but what she ultimately taught me was if you hold your convictions close to your heart you won’t go far wrong and also that sometimes you have to do things to please others with a quiet diplomacy both valuable lessons to me during this period of life which I have tried hard to carry with me. Of course Delores and I had our moments when we locked horns but she always forgave because that was Delores was about
So at this sad time I'll try think of her as I remember her, whether it be in conversation at her kitchen table where she made you feel welcomed an important or unabashedly singing in full voice in Annunciation Church and it was a distinctively wonderful voice and not to forget her commitment to others who had less, less understanding and less faith in the world never thinking a moment of personal sacrifice.
The world will definitely be a poorer place without Delores Toth but I'm without doubt, that she'll be in the front row of God's choir, singing with the angels cause anyone who knew her knows, she wouldn't have it any other way.
