Obituary of Mr. Granville Barnes

The Will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not Protect you.  

It is with great sadness the family of Granville "Carol" Barnes announces his passing.  On Friday December 21, 2018 Granville went home to be with his Saviour after a long battle with cancer.  God wanted Granville to rest for his birthday so He called him home. He was 54 years old.

Granville is survived by his mother Esmie and father Douglas . Fondly missed by his brother Anthony (Tony) and his wife Yvette; brother Floyd and wife Rose; brother Gregory; and younger sister Teresa. He was loving father to daughter Charnelle and cherished by his two grandsons Aleksandr and Andrzej who misses him dearly.  Further survived by nephews Paul, Damian, Shane, Kevin, Shaun, & Deshario; nieces Kerrie-Ann & Julise; many aunts and uncles whose lives will never be the same without Carol. He was known to be genuine, kind-hearted, easygoing and a jack of all trades.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday January 4th, 2019 between 6 and 9pm at Ogden Funeral Home at 4164 Sheppard Ave East Scarborough, ON (Midland and Sheppard Ave East).  There will be 1 hour of private time from 5-6pm designated for close family members to say their last goodbyes.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 5th, 2019 from 11am -12pm. 

Internment will follow at Duffin Meadows Cemetery at 2505 Brock Rd North, Pickering ON. A final celebration of Granville's life will be concluded at Pickering Complex at 1867 Valley Farm Rd, Pickering, ON L1V 6K7 in the West Salon where friends and families can share their fond memories of Granville.
