Obituary of Mrs. Shirley Annette Ferreira

FERREIRA, Shirley Annette (nee Mayers) February 11, 1943 - December 13, 2018. After a long, courageous battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully at Providence Hospital at the age of 75 with her beloved son by her side. Devoted wife to her late husband Carl. Loving daughter of the late Harry and Georgiana (Figueira) Mayers. Born in Georgetown, British Guiana, she moved to Toronto in 1962 and enjoyed a distinguished career with TD Bank. She gave up her work to raise her only son Andrew and later became a caring 'Auntie' to Amanda and Ashley. Loving sister to Rudolph, Evelyn, Mary, and Yvonne. Predeceased by her sisters Marjorie and Sheila. She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held on Monday December 17 at Ogden Funeral Home at 4164 Sheppard Ave E in Scarborough. Visitation at noon, service at 1pm. Interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens will follow.
