Frederick Sidney Seymour

On December 7^th , surrounded by the love of family, Frederick Sidney Seymour passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.  Fred is survived by his wife Diane, daughters Stacey (Jon), Kristen (Alex) and the joy of his life, his eight grandchildren: Gabriella, Daniel, Nadia, Hannah, Juila, Ben, Ava and Jeremy.  Predeceased by his daughter Melissa, they are reunited again.   Fred will be dearly missed by his sisters Betty and Mary Ann, his extended family, friends and neighbours.

A humble man, Fred devoted his life to his family, always willing to lend a hand and share kind words.  Fred was an avid reader of all types of genres and could discuss many topics in great detail.  After his retirement from the Ministry of the Environment , Fred directed his energies to helping out with his grandchildren and giving back by volunteering at Wellspring.  His gentle manner and patience left a lasting impression on everyone who met him.  He will always hold a special place in our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday December 15^th ` at 11 am at Bridlewood Presbyterian Church.   The family will have a visitation one hour prior to the service and a reception will follow in the church hall.  Cremation has taken place, and internment will happen in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Rebounders Canada (support for adult survivors of childhood cancer), Wellspring (cancer support) or a charity of your choice.
