Tony, I wish I’d gotten to see you one last time. You changed my life by introducing me to some of my favorite music. You were always a knowledgeable, kind and generous person. I’m sorry you’ve left us so soon. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dear Uncle George and Steven,
We were all very sorry to learn of Tony's recent illness and death. I have fond childhood memories of him. I remember him being a very gentle person, always willing to help and a very talented musician. I regret not having kept in touch with him, and not following through on going to see him perform as we talked about the last time I saw him.
I hope he and Auntie Maria are somewhere together sharing memories of happy times,
Take care

I have wonderful childhood memories of spending family time together on Broomfield Drive. Summer visits...Christmas Eve...good times always. I am so sad that you have been taken from us so soon and doubly sad that we lost touch over the years. RIP Tony. Xoxo

Tony was my first best friend and I will always remember our time together in Dagenham, along with my visits to Canada and always looked forward to meeting up with "birds", my second family. May my condolences bring comfort and my prayers ease the pain of Tony's loss. I will always remember him as a brother, words can't express how saddened I feel.
I offer you my thoughts, prayers and well wishes during this sad time to you both George & Steven, take care
Sincere Condolences
Francis

It was with great sadness that I heard of Cousin Tony's passing. We hadn't seen each other since our childhood but I can still remember fondly the times before the family emigrated. It was good of Tony to email and inform me of his sad diagnosis and of his wish to travel to London to meet once more. Sadly it didn't happen. Even though the email was of bad news it was so nice to be back in contact. Sincere condolences to Uncle George & Cousin Steve.

We were so sorry to hear of your passing, and at such a young age. We may be many miles away but we will be thinking of you and those who will be mourning for you. I recall the time that you and your family stayed with us for a few days in Stevenage and the howls of laughter we shared together - simple happy times.
Rest in peace,
Peter, Philip and families.

Tony,
I spent the weekend remembering all the musical times we shared.
All the shows. All the songs.
I've also been remembering your kindness. And your friendship.
And your talent!
You were special.
I played the Hokum Blues Express cd yesterday,
and it's as awesome sounding today as when you first made it!
It was too soon for you to leave here Tony.
But perhaps you're now getting the rest you deserve,
while hanging out with all your favourite musicians.
Say hi to Mr Zappa for me, and Mr. Bowie and Mr. Petty.
And Mr. Lennon!!
rip~
~ Lisa
My condolences to the Bird family.
