Obituary of Mrs. Gerdie Rorye

Rorye, Gerdie (nee Overweg), passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Oct 27, 2018 in her 96^th year. Pre-deceased by her loving husband, Marinus, and her son, John and many brothers & sisters. She will be greatly missed by her son, Henry (Nancy) and daughter-in-law, Anne, and grandchildren Jeff Rorye  (Jennifer), Heather Sham (Raymond), Deborah Zathureczky (Michael),  Liz Rorye, Laura Patel (Nimesh) & Jennifer Goodger (Jonathan) and 15 great grandchildren, Piper Rorye; Megan, Amanda and Rachel Sham; Emily and Ryan Zathureczky; Ryan, Ethan and Hayden Shaw, Madison & Sydney Vinette; Bethany & Kate Patel; and Iris and Garret Goodger, her sister, Jannetje in Holland and many other family and friends. Visitation will be on Thurs Nov 1 from 4-8 at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave E. (East of Kennedy Rd., Scarborough)  A service to celebrate 95 wonderful years of life will be held at Ogden Funeral Home on Fri Nov 2 at 11a.m. Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Reception to follow. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
