Obituary of Mrs. Lana MacKellar

MacKellar: Lana (nee Wyatt)

Lana passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on Friday, September 14 at Centenary Rouge Valley hospital.

Beloved wife of the late D.Neil MacKellar. Sister to Maureen (Fred) Soukoreff and the late Carolyn Patterson.   Lana was a loving Mother and Step-Mother to Kirk Shorting, Karen Fleming, Kim Battams and Gordon Shorting, Bob MacKellar, Bud (Maureen) MacKellar, Kim Laudrum, Christine Fogarty, and Elaine (Ian) Esplin.  Beloved Grandmother to Sean, Jennifer, Alex, Jaime, Joseph, Dylan, Alicia, Siannah, Katy, Eric, Ryan, Jesse, Devon, and Kenna.  Lana was a proud and active member and National Leader for Recovery Inc. and advocated for Mental Health through guided self-help for over 40 years. Lana will be buried in Port Hope next to her late husband D. Neil MacKellar. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept 24, 7 – 9 pm, at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON. Memorial Service will be on Tuesday Sept 25,11 am followed by a reception. Cremation has occurred. All friends and family are welcome.
