We are, with heart heavy, so sorry to hear of Tab's passing. We are truly blessed to have had the opportunity to know Tab (and Mary) as fellow parishoners of St. Bartholomew's, but also as true friends of our family for many years. He was not only a force to reckon with, but a kind, compassionate, faithful, loving, empowering, just, and fun soul. He was an inspiration to us and we'll continue to keep his light bright in our hearts. Tab, may your loved ones find comfort in knowing you are joyfully in the presence of our Lord God in Heaven.
We thank God for you, Mary and your family in all of our lives and we pray for them to find peace and healing through the Comforting Heart and Hands of Jesus and Mama Mary. Amen. Xoxo

Thank you for sharing Tab with us and so many of God's people. I had the pleasure of working with Tab while he was at Scarborough General and I was a young pastor at Precious Blood. His clear, direct devotion to those he served in God's name was deeply appreciated by many people and also by priests like me who knew our parishioners were in good hands while in hospital. I also enjoyed seeing him each year at our clergy golf tournament where he and Deacon Dan Murphy were a fixture and a testimony to the integrity of the game. May he receive the blessing of the blessings he so freely shared. In Christ, Fr. Bob O'Brien

Dear Mary and the Charbonneau Clan, please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of the family Patriarch.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race and I remained faithful And now the crown awaits me...” 2Timothy 4:7
These words of St Paul are very fitting when we speak of Deacon Tab . I can imagine the joyful echo of him, rejoicing to know he remained faithful to the end of his earthly sojourn. In spite of his illness,Tab never stopped expressing care and compassion for others. He was a tower of strength for many.
During my illness there was never a day he did not pray for me, gave words of encouragement, found time to bring
me Holy Communion and was like a father to me. Recently it was Sam’s turn to be on the receiving end his prayers and encouragements.
At this time as we grieve his passing I can’t imagine life at St Bartholomew without DeaconTab. Whenever I look at the panel near the Tabernacle and see the quote:
“ Come Lord Jesus “ Tab will always be there, looking down on us. His love for his St Bart’s family lives on in our hearts.
The Hindu Poet, Ravindranath Tagore writes: “ Say not in grief that he is no more, but say in thankfulness that he was... Death is not extinguishing of a light, but the putting out of the candle because the dawn has come. “
Mary, may you and the family find solace and comfort as you grieve your loss.
Sam &Sonia Spence.
