Francis Shing Wai Lee

Francis passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 28, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 72.
Francis was born on November 9, 1945 in Shanghai, China to Joseph Lee and Maria Sim Lee (Koo). He attended Tang King Po School in Hong Kong and later immigrated to Canada with his wife and son. He went on to graduate from York University with a Masters of Arts in 1983 and had a long career as a City Planner for the City of Toronto. Upon retirement, he spent much of his time with family and friends, traveling and has actively been a part of the community. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, tai chi, singing karaoke, and getting together with friends for dim sum. He was a devoted and loving sibling, husband, father, and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Ah-Fun Lee (Wong); his children Daniel (Jean), Edward (Maggie) and Teresa (Ryan); his six grandchildren; his sisters Lisa Li and Ahn-Lin Lo; his brothers James, Lucas, Peter and John; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Maria Lee.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 5pm-9pm and Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 9am-10am at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough.
Service will commence at 10am followed by procession to Pine Hills Cemetery, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
