Obituary of Mrs. Irene Akai

Irene Beatrice Akai passed peacefully at Fieldstone Commons on June 23^rd, 2018 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her husband Ivan Akai (1981). Will be dearly missed by her children Barbara (Lennox), Gregory, Diane and Gary (Laura); Grandchildren Lana, Tanya (Sean), Natasha and Nicole; Great – grandson Henry; Sisters Shelia, Lucille, Rose and Brother Alex; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough (East of Kennedy Rd.) on Thursday June 28^th from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday June 29^th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 59 Heather Rd, Scarborough (Brimley/Sheppard). Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery, 625 Birchmount Rd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lung Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society.
