William Lloyd DeRyck

November 21st 1935 - May 25th 2018  

 

In loving memory of William Lloyd DeRyck passed away in his 82nd year on May 25th, 2018 after a long battle with illness. Born in British Guiana to William Carlton and Marie Ottlie, survived by his sister Marie Sardinda of the United Kingdom. He was predeceased by his brother Julius Grant-DeRyck and sister Geraldine Pamela Henry. 

 

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years Maureen (Alphonso). He was a loving father to Denise (Victor), Ramona (Ron), Andre (Roshini), Sharon, and Alicia (Gaetano). He will also be greatly be missed by his 12 grandchildren, Bruce (late), Ron, Neil, Dwayne (late), Brandon, Michelle, Ashley, Kayla, Vanessa, Alessandro, Alexus and Brianna, in addition to his 3 great grandchildren Keanu, Raekwon, Renee. As well as other relatives and friends.

 

A thoughtful and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. William always placed family first and was most happy when sharing stories surrounded by others. He was a hard working individual, a creative soul with great interest in his home country, music, watching sports and news articles.

 

A visitation will be held Monday May 28th 2018 from 5:00-9:00 pm at Ogden Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 29th 10:00am in the Ogden Chapel. Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
