Obituary of Herbert Thomson

Peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital after a brief illness, Herb/Garry passed away on March 23, 2018. He was born in Ottawa, ON August 29,1930 and is survived by his wife, Dawn Marlene (Pethick) of 56 years. Lovingly remembered by his sons Ross Carl, Ronald George (Terri-Lyn) and Roy Colin (Laura). Very proud grandfather of Nolan George, Laryssa Brianne, Carter Ryan, Aaron Natale, Natalie Lauren and Garrett Roy. Survived by his brother Gregory Bruce (the late Mary) and his sister Barbara Ann (George) Brancato. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Carl Norman and Mabel Dorothy (Soul), his brothers, Murray Paul (Marion), Stanley Wallace (Muriel), Ross Clarke, Carl Norman (Linda) and his sister Gloria Alicia (Lawrence) Regan. Herb/Garry was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan and a long time volunteer with the Society of St Vincent de Paul.

The family will recieve friends at the Ogden Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  
Funeral Mass to be held at St Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, 10 Washburn Way, Scarborough on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Cremation.
