Obituary of Mrs. Sadie Isobelle Wapples
Sadie Isobelle Wapples (nee Spaull), born Nov 20, 1919.
On Dec 24, 2017, Sadie went to be with her Lord after years of illnesses.
Sadie was a first-generation Canadian, one of five children, outliving all her siblings, to the age of 98.
In her younger years Sadie worked as a private secretary for the Fielder Box Company in Toronto.
Sadie married Ernest Albert Wapples, her beau of five years, after his return from WWII.
Sadie and Ernie built a life in Scarborough, volunteering at their churches in various capacities. Sadie was an active lady who enjoyed gardening, sports, and visiting with friends and family. She loved watching the Blue Jays and knew the TTC routes by memory!
Predeceased by her husband in 1983 and daughter Wendy in 1998, Sadie’s heart was broken, but patched by her extended family.
Sadie will be missed by her grandchildren Cindy and David, great-Grandchildren (Mathieu, Stephanie and Nolan), nieces (Debbie and Susan), and family who enjoyed her sense of humour and love.
