James Ramnarase Samadhin (1942 – 2017)

James passed away peacefully on December 22, 2017 in his 75th year, at the Scarborough General Hospital.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 29 years, Maywattie “Baby” Samadhin (nee Singh).  Loving father of sons Mark (Yvonne Rowe Samadhin), Michael (Sati Samadhin), and Leslie, and adoring grandfather of Joshua, Rahul, Jasmine, Amitav, Julian and Jade.  He will be dearly missed by his surviving sisters Ursula, Dolly and Carmen, brothers Samuel, Edward, and Norman, and his extended family and many friends.

A native of Guyana, James immigrated to Canada in early 1980 with his family.  A dedicated professional, James' career spanned many years working in Guyana as a Senior Public Health Inspector, as an entrepreneur in the transportation sector, and in Canada with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, prior to retirement.  He will be remembered for his interesting and entertaining life stories, often shared with family and friends.  He was a kind and caring man, who made a difference in many lives.
