Obituary of George Rodgers

RODGERS, George May 17, 1943 - November 20, 2017 
Suddenly at Scarborough Grace Hospital on Monday, November 20, 2017. Loving husband to Marilyn (Ribble). Loved father of Scott (Lisa) of Toronto and Jamie (Jen) of Barrie. Devoted Grandpa to Keira, Kyle, Allison and Jason. Brother-in-law to Harold and Kathy Ribble (Whitby) and Janice Ribble (Newmarket). Brother to the late Jim Rodgers (Nola) of Wasaga Beach. Also remembered by his niece Amy Ribble and nephews Timothy Ribble, and David and Paul Rodgers. George founded his company Canada Carbide Inc. in 1969 and continued as President and CEO until his death on Monday. Memorial Service to be held at Calvary Church, Toronto 746 Pape Avenue (across from Pape subway station) on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Visitation from 9:30 a.m. Donations in memory of George made to Calvary Church, Toronto or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
