We are deeply saddened by the news of Desmond’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his devoted and loving family. The competitive spirit of Desmond provided his high school, the Dominica Grammar School (DGS)in his days with the zeal and flame for victory. He left the DGS with a tremendous competitive legacy.

What can I say...... Des made my child hood fun, he was like a second father figure to me & my brother.
Angelo & I looked up to him for advise and discipline, He was always making us laugh as children. All of you were
the BEST next door neighbors anyone could have. We were like family...... Des always playing his loud stereo system made living on Chichester a happy place to live.He was a teacher , he taught us all how to be great people. How to treat everyone with respect ...... His heart was always open to helping others ..... He was 1 in a million. I can't tell you how badly my heart is breaking ..... Des was too good to go.... Even thou you all moved away from us , your'e still family. Des will always live in my heart , he helped shape all of us into great people. When your unforgettable like Des is ..... It's not a good bye ..... It's more like see you later . God bless his soul ... May he rest now in peace away from any pain. We all love you DES , Gone but never forgotten! LOVE ALWAYS ..... The Christian family extends it prayerful condolences to the family of Desmond "Duke" Christian. Desmond was a legend among us back in the day as a dynamic football player for the Dominica Grammar School and later on the national side. He was kind and gracious to us all. As a neighbor we knew his mother Ma Indiana as a friendly and wise person. His siblings were well respected members of our community. May his family take comfort in the fond memories of those he befriended and his efforts at making a better world via sporting endeavors - both in Dominica and Canada.
May he rest in peace. We shall remember him.

Desi; a friend, former schoolmate and teammate. You were so humble with that pleasant smile. Always one willing and prepared to share your knowledge. I was shocked & saddened on hearing the news of Desi’s passing.
We met on a soccer field, training for a tour to Guyana that turned out to be yet the most successful soccer tournament this team, so aptly called “WIS / WE” completed.
Desi was an exceptional,talented Player among so many others on this team.
He was always respectful and considerate. A brother’s keeper on & off the playing field. He will be missed immensely.
