So sad to hear of the passing of my special friend. Jack hired me at Nelson Publishers when I was just starting out in the IT industry. With little or no experience on the IBM System 38, he took a chance on me. 12 years later, after I left the IT field and had returned to Sales & Administration, I unexpectedly ran into Jack at Centennial College when we were both taking an IBM AS/400 course. As I lamented about my disappointment of having left IT, he said he would keep his eyes open for me. Sure enough, within a couple of months I heard from a placement agency that Jack had told them about me and an opening for an IT manager at Gage Publishing. So suffice to say in my career, he saved me twice.
My sincere condolences to Marg, Doug, Gale & the rest of the family.
