Obituary of Sonia Brglez

BRGLEZ, Sonia Born in Gibina, near Ljutomer, Slovenia in 1923, Sonia passed away on September 22, 2017, eleven days shy of her 94th birthday but on the same calendar day her husband, Joseph, passed away six years earlier. As a shy and reticent newcomer to Canada in 1951, she worked diligently to adapt to her new country and raise a family with four sons, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A great mother, a consummate friend and a wonderful cook! Visitation will be at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Agincourt, ON M1S 1T3, from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. A Christian Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on September 28, 2017 at St. Bartholomew Church, 59 Heather Road, Scarborough, ON M1S 2E2, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON L3T 2C7.
