Shaw-Cooney, Amy, Rosalind (nee Turner)

Passed away at the age of 99, at Silverthorn Care Community in Mississauga on September, 13, 2017. Daughter of Mary Bonito and Donald Turner, and adopted by loving Aunt and husband (Thompsons).  She was widowed by husbands Gilbert Albert Shaw and James Cooney; and, predeceased by children Robert and Angela.  Lovingly remembered by her children Annette (Peter), Helen (Edward), Michael (Francien), and daughter-in-law Diane and son-in-law Rudolph.  Missed by grandchildren Stephen, Chris, Paul, Nicki, Daryl, Justin, Amanda, Timothy, and Geoffrey.  She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.  Rose will be dearly missed by us all. She will always be remembered for her love of family, talents as a dressmaker and classical pianist, dancing, swimming and ping pong.  The Memorial Service to celebrate her very rich and long life will be held at OGDEN FUNERAL HOME, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough (416-293-5211) on September 23rd, 2017. Visitation starting at 3pm followed by the Memorial Service in the Chapel.  All are welcome to the Reception afterwards on the premises.

Any donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
