Obituary of Rosalie Lashley

ROSALIE LASHLEY

March 18, 1922 - July 25, 2017

Rosalie Lashley passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  Rosalie was born in St. John, Barbados to the late Ambrosine "Gladys" and St. Clair Bancroft.  Beloved wife of the late Ashfield "Costley" Lashley.

Dear mother of Vernetta (Pat) Hope Stapleton, Irene Bruce of the U.K., Harriet Johnson, Angela Alleyne and the late Anthony Lashley.  Mother-in-law of The Rev. Derek Stapleton, James Bruce, Clayton Johnson and Sylvester Alleyne.  Sister of the late Lillian Sealy.

Grandmother of Lisa Bruce, Amanda Bruce-Sims (Carl), Donna Bruce, Sheryl Hope Wilson (Michael), Ricardo Johnson, Tanya Alleyne and Terri-Lynn Johnston (Dexter).  Great-grandmother of Ethan James Bruce-Manning; Mychael-May, Beckham and Bradley-Rose Wilson; Javon Harwood-Johnson; Aubrey and Mallory Johnston.

Aunt of Darnley Sealy (Allison) of the Bahamas.  Niece of the late Ione Rayside.  Cousin of Lawrence Inniss, Lincoln, Monica and David Trotman, Grace Phillips, Oswald Inniss, Livingstone Maughan, and others too numerous to mention.  Relative of the Bancroft, Inniss, Trotman and Rayside families.

The family would like to thank the staff of Orchard Villa Long Term Care, Pickering for the compassionate care they provided.  Also, thanks to the staff of Central East CCAC Whitby for their support.

Rosalie will be sadly missed by extended family and friends.
