REELEDER, David John It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of David John Reeleder, in his 65th year, at Sunnybrook Medical Centre on Thursday, July 20, 2017, following complications from melanoma. Lovingly remembered by son Justin and his partner Hermine Garcia. Born in Truro, Nova Scotia, on September 26, 1951, David's parents, the late Lewis Reeleder and Doris Reeleder (nee Sheepwash) moved to North Bay in 1953. It was there that David spent his childhood and teenage years, before leaving in 1970 to attend McMaster University, where he obtained his undergrad and graduate degrees in Science and an MBA. After working in Calgary and Vancouver, he eventually settled in Toronto where he worked for Toronto Hydro and later, the Ministry of Health. A decade ago he got his PhD in Public Health and also pursued studies in the sciences, mathematics, philosophy and history. He had a brilliant mind with an eclectic taste, loved travel, running and the outdoors. He had two sisters Carolyn (nee Reid, deceased) of Vancouver, Lois (Toronto) and two brothers George (Montreal) and Robert (Vancouver). He is survived by many cousins, in-laws, aunts and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by Johnny, Kevin, Lorna and many other friends. Special mention to his dearest friends Nancy and John. A service will be held on Thursday, July 27th at 1300 hours in the Chapel at Ogden Funeral Home at 4164 Sheppard Avenue East in Toronto.
