My deepest condolence to the Barrera family. I will always remember Ms.Barrera as a humble, caring, loving, fair, and funny teacher. She was an amazing teacher that was always there for her students. Personally, she has helped me through so much and I don't know who I'd be without her. CLCS has lost an outstanding, irreplaceable, teacher while the world lost an amazing human being. I am doleful to have lost such a dear friend and inspiring mentor. May she rest peacefully.

Dear Barrera family, cousins aunts and uncles. We are deeply sorry for your great loss. For many years we shared Christmas eve together with our children John,Lori and Suzanne at John and Rose Machado 's house with Tanya. We would chat with her about all her school progress since kindergarten until her assignment as a teacher. She was a very dedicated and hard working person. We will miss her but as God promises, there will be no more pain, tears or suffering.

My beloved cousin Tanya. You were my first friend and like a sister to me. We did so much together and there is nothing that will ever fill this void I feel. My memories of you will last forever and not a day will go by that I won't think of you, your smile, your laugh, your big beautiful green eyes, and all the wonderful qualities that made you the amazing person you were.
