The passing of my cousin Harper is both untimely and unfortunate. His loss is a tremendous blow to all of us, especially hos immediate family, whom he has left behind. Still God remain Sovereign, gracious and kind
May His peace and comfort surround us during this difficult period and give you, family, the fortitude and strength needed to endure.

My heart is saddened to learn of the passing of a long time friend and neighbor. My heart goes out to the two lovely children that he raised single handedly. Gone too soon is almost cliche but that is the absolute truth. Gone too soon my friend. It was only last week I was driving by the house and thought of you and the children and how I have not spoken to you for so long, only to get this news today. I am truly saddened. Sleep in Peace. Glad you did not suffer. Only needed a little time to say goodbye. Goodbye my friend. Fly with the butterflies. I will always remember you. We will be here for the children whom you loved so dearly.

I extend my condolences to my cousin Harper's immediate family; his spouse and his children. We are all shocked at his sudden and unexpected departure from this life. Harper was one of the most easy-going guys I know. He did not seem to let things bother him. He was soft-spoken, good-natured, and unassuming.
The only time I can recall seeing him flustered was when we were teenagers and someone, in offering him a meal, used a knife to slice the bread which was part of the meal. In strong objection, Harper passionately declared that his bread must never be sliced with a knife. It must always be broken by hand. That was his philosophy.
May the Lord give comfort and strength to all his loved ones.
