Obituary of Nella Sutherland

Please share a memory of Nella to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Beloved mother of Claudia, Patricia, Barbara, Tony , and Sandra. Loving grandmother of Nikki, Tamara, Tasha, Steven (deceased), Dwayne, Brandon, George, Maurice and Tonya. Proud great- grandmother of Maya. Mother-in law to Grace, and grand-mother in law to Devon.

She will be sorely missed by many more relatives and friends here in Canada, and St.Vincent and the Grenadines, and by her Wesley Chapel family.

Her work in the health-care profession began when she immigrated to Canada in 1968. Having spent many decades helping others as a nurse, until her retirement in 2001, notably at St. Michael’s Hospital and Michael Garron Hospital (formerly, Toronto East General Hospital in Toronto), she leaves a legacy of fond memories with staff and patients that she interacted with and whose lives she has touched.  In her retirement, she continued to help others in need. She loved life, and enjoyed the many sights and entertainment in and around Toronto.

She was a loyal friend. Many will remember her for her independence, her humour, and spirit of giving.

She lived a full God-fearing life and is now in the arms of her Saviour.
