Obituary of Edward Sedgeman

Edward John (Johnny) SEDGEMANOctober 12, 1936 - January 30, 2017It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Sedgeman at Rouge Valley Health Centre on January 30, 2017 in his 80th year, with family by his side. Much loved husband of Noel for almost 60 years. Beloved father of John, daughter-in-law Dai and granddaughter Janice, daughter Wendy and son-in-law Steven, daughter Sharon and daughter-in-law Denise. Dear brother of William and sister-in-law Dorothy, Duncan and sister-in law-Joanne, and sister Barbara. Dear brother-in-law of George Campbell. Fondly remembered by all of his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Sheila McEwan and his parents Jack and Doris Sedgeman.The family wish to extend their sincere thanks to the fifth floor nursing staff for their care and compassion during his illness, to Dr. H.H. Au for his tireless efforts and care and to Rose Raizman for always bringing a smile to his face. Visitation will take place at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2017 at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, with a service at 12:00 p.m. Following the service, a reception will be held for Johnny. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Johnny's name.
