Obituary of Albert MacDiarmid

Albert (Bert) MacDiarmid Passed away Tuesday June 28, 2016 at 88 years of age Pre deceased by his wife Jean MacDiarmid (nee Curran) after 54 years of marriage. Bert graduated from University of Toronto Engineering Physics in 1952, and was a professional Engineer who worked for Bell Canada for 32 years. Bert is remembered for his love of music, travel and the outdoors. In his retirement he spent many years entertaining in hospitals and seniors homes around Toronto and area with his wife and friends. He will be missed by his children Steve, Bill (Zony), Anne Hill (Tom) and Don (Sharon) and his grandchildren Michael (Katie), Bryan (Adam), Derek, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Ryan, Chanel and Renee along with many friends and relatives. A memorial will be held at Ogden Funeral Home in Scarborough on Monday July 18th. There will be a Visitation at 1pm with a Service at 2pm followed by a reception. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society may be made in Bert’s memory.
