MONTE, Giuseppe (Joe) —Passed away peacefully, in Palliative Care at Sunnybrook Hospital, with family at his side, on May 10, 2016, at the age of 67. Loving husband of 42 years to Mary. Dearest and most caring father to Luisa (Enzo) and Nadia (Mario). Devoted "Nonno Joe" to Julianna and Alissia. Brother of Carmela (Vincenzo) and family of Italy. Joe will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, family, extended family and friends. He will be reunited in heaven with his parents Emilio and Luisa. After immigrating to Canada, Joe worked in grocery for over 45 years. Friends will be received by the family at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Agincourt, on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at the Church of St. Lawrence the Martyr, 2210 Lawrence Ave. E., Scarborough, on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Entombment at Highland Memory Gardens, to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or to Sunnybrook Hospital - Palliative Care Unit, would be greatly appreciated.
