MASON, Anna Marie —Peacefully on May 4, 2016 at the age of 85. Predeceased by her beloved husband Don. Dear mother of Janice (Richard) and David (Bianca). Very proud and much loved grandmother of Matthew and Katie Witkowski and Bryan and Sarah Mason. Sadly missed by her loving sisters Gertrude (John, deceased) and Elizabeth (Robert) and her nieces and nephew Kathy, Carolyn, Shawn and Jane and their families. The eldest daughter of George and Anna Roth. Anna was born in Windsor, Ontario on May 1, 1931. The family moved to London, Ontario in 1933. Anna began her career as a Teacher in London and after marrying Don and moving to Toronto in 1953, taught at Eglinton Public School until she left to raise her family. Anna then turned her considerable skills toward volunteer projects in her community and made a lasting impact on many of the people she met, some of whom are now among her dearest friends. She will be missed by her many friends and neighbours on the street where she lived for almost 50 years. Friends are welcome to a visitation at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave., Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Monday, May 9th, 3 to 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday, May 10th at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the Ogden Chapel. Reception to follow the service. Family interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in Anna's name may be made to The Scarborough Hospital – Birchmount Campus or Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA). -
