Reverend Hudson Taylor Hilsden was promoted to glory on Monday, March 28at the age of 90 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mildred; two sons, Wayne (Ann) and Rick (Judy); his six grandchildren, Jamie (Hanna), Jonathan, Joel (Laura), Michael (Rebekah), Richard (Shannon), Dion (Matthew) and his eight great-grandchildren, Noa, Shai, Naomi, Ezra, Maya, Trinity, Gemma and Major. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister, Lois and brother Ralph. Hudson was predeceased by his first wife, Jean and his brothers, Allan and Keith.
Hudson began his ministry at the Kemptville Pentecostal Tabernacle in 1950. He received credentials with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada in 1952 and has faithfully served in ministry for more than 60 years. He has pastored in Port Hope, Burlington – Vermont, Concord -New Hampshire, Hamilton, Oshawa and Scarborough. In 1984 Hudson transitioned to the PAOC International Office as the Social Concerns Co-ordinator. Following his retirement in 1992, Hudson served as an Interim Pastor in 13 congregations in the Eastern Ontario and Western Ontario Districts as well as co-chair of the Eastern Ontario District Social Concerns Committee. He was granted an honourary, Doctor of Divinity
A Celebration of Life, in memory of Hudson will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Agincourt Pentecostal Church, 2885 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough. Viewing will be held at the same location, one hour prior to the Celebration of Life at 10:00 a.m.
