JOACHIM FRANCIS XAVIER Peacefully passed away in Toronto, Canada, on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, in his 89th year. He was the former Assistant Collector of Customs in Sri Lanka. He was the son of Pedurupillai Joachimpillai and Sabinam Thangamma Joachimpillai. He was the beloved husband of Mary Antonia. Cherished father of Chrysantha and James, father-in-law of Reni and grandfather of Andrew and Lauren. He was the loving brother of the late Edward, Fr. Jerome, Clara and Paul and survived by his sister Regina. He had 21 nieces and nephews and 32 grandnieces and grandnephews. Family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E. (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 265 Alton Towers Circle on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Christ the King Cemetery, 7770 Steeles Ave. (Steeles Ave. and Reesor Rd.).
