It is with supreme sadness and sorrow that the family announces the passing of Lucia Valerio on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at the age of 80. She passed away peacefully in our arms, making all her own decisions right to the end. Devoted wife of the late Biagio for 60 years. Loving mother of Anna (Donato) and Nadia (Martin) and the late Rinaldo. Proud and loving Nonna to Selina (Daniele), Dante (Margarita), Tanya, Lauren, Matthew and Justin. Dear sister of Giulia and Domenico, and the late Felice, Umberto, (Milano) Giovanni, and Norina. The way she lived her life demonstrated her strength and independent nature. She never knew a stranger, everyone was her friend, and she always had an infectious smile and laugh. She will be dearly remembered by all her family and friends. Family and friends will be received at the OGDEN FUNERAL HOME, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Sunday, December 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, 59 Heather Rd., Scarborough on Monday, December 7th at 11 a.m. Entombment Highland Memory Gardens.
