HO TOM, Kenrick Jonathon
Kenrick, in his 61st year, died peacefully at home with his mom on September 14, 2015, after colon surgery. Kenrick was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on August 9, 1954, to his parents,Dudley and Betty (Chin) Ho Tom. He moved to Canada with his family in 1974, and attended a local high school in North York, and briefly studied at Seneca College. He was vision-impaired for most of his adult life and was a member of the Canadian Institute for the Blind (CNIB). For over 20 years he was supported by Corbrook, a community-based service organization helping people with physical and developmental disabilities, and was known to his colleagues as a polite, kind and caring co-worker . His family remembers him as a quiet, gentle soul, willing to help others, and loved to laugh. He absolutely adored movies and TV despite his visual limitations, as well as celebrity gossip, news and events! He is predeceased by his father and survived by his mother, and his brother, E. Nicholas (and wife, Debra (Chin), and son, Harrison), his sister, Annette and husband, Dennis Chang, and his youngest sister, Karen (and husband Anthony (Lue Tam), and children, Kyle, Sabrina and Tiffany).
